Ireland, my Ireland
Have you come to sample the ‘luck o’ the Irish’ ? Or maybe you want to decipher the mystery of the Isle of Eire and it’s people? Well good luck to yey (..as many say in the part of Ireland where I am from)
Maybe you’re just here for the ‘Craic’ or one of the many other sayings we have.
Whatever you’re after I hope you find it.
Every time I go back home I’m amazed at how much has changed since last time, with certain aspects not feeling so Irish no more, but other aspects more Irish than ever. One thing’s for sure, I’m very proud of the country it was, and more importantly the country it’s become and seemingly wants to become.
That’s the magical thing about the country of my birth, it’s so very familiar to most of us, yet somehow so very different and diverse, even travelling very short distances like 30 km, the landscape can completely change, the accent can completely change, just about anything can change, though never the warm welcome.
